Posted

Rainier High School students from the Skills USA program built a trebuchet, also known as a pumpkin launcher, and competed against other area schools on Saturday.

The Rainier contingent took first place with a toss of 343 feet, and even had a practice launch of 381 feet. They also took second place in accuracy behind West Sound Tech. One of the students wrote, “Lots of work goes into building a trebuchet!”
