Mariel Louise Lindblad (Price), 86, of Yelm, Washington, passed away on March 13, 2026.
Born in Vancouver, Washington, Mariel spent most of her life in Humboldt County, California, before moving to Yelm in 2016. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who had a gift for bringing family together — whether through holidays, traditions like making lefse, or thoughtfully planned family trips.
Mariel had a talent for organizing and a love for celebrating life’s special moments, including helping plan weddings. She worked at Montgomery Ward prior to raising her family and later at The Waiting Room and Gottschalks. In retirement, she enjoyed traveling the country with her husband in their motorhome.
She was an active member of the Emblem Club in Eureka and, in Yelm, contributed to the Clearwood Community through board service, committees and event planning.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Ronald Edwin Lindblad; her parents; and her siblings.
Mariel is survived by her children, Christina Susmilch; Ronda Toland (Jeffrey); and Eric Lindblad (Suzi); her grandchildren, Cory Susmilch, Justin Voss, Kayla Susmilch, Taylor Voss (Miranda), Jesse Toland, Trevor Toland and Ryan Lindblad; her great-grandchildren, Emma Susmilch, Angela Susmilch, Cory Susmilch Jr., Olive Kleist, Archer Kleist and Casey Voss; and her sisters-in-law, Lynette Hampton (Lindblad) and Vicki Lindblad.
She will be remembered for her love of family, her traditions and her ability to make every gathering feel special.
Private family services will be held April 11, 2026.
