Glenn C. Badger Sr. died peacefully Thursday, July 15, 2021 at home in Rainier, Washington. Glenn was born in Portsmouth, New Hampshire to David and Gladys Badger on Sept. 3, 1941.
He saw many struggles growing up and became the “man of the house” at a young age. He took his role seriously and set out to live accordingly. He learned early on the need to work hard, to be kind and to keep your wits about you. He worked on the docks doing odd jobs helping the family until he joined the Coast Guard. He served six years along New England’s coast.
Along the way he met his would be wife, Honey. They married and spent 59 years building their life together. He passed away only 41 days after his wife. Together again!
During their marriage they had four children, Glenn Jr., David, Laura and Alesha.
Glenn by trade was a proud ironworker, but he also was a homesteader, entrepreneur, business owner, and all around talented guy. He was a man of integrity and character. He was courageous, kind and humble. He lived a life of self-control and discipline; of honor and respect and with a bit of humor. He loved his family, his friends, his neighbors and his dogs. He was never one to judge or belittle, only to support and encourage. He enjoyed volunteering and helping folks along. Glenn was a good man and those that knew him were blessed for it.
He was preceded in death by his parents David and Gladys Badger and wife Honey Badger. Glenn is survived by his four children, Glenn Jr. (Linda) Badger, David (Jana) Badger, Laura Badger, Alesha (Ed) Hoover; 11 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
There will be a celebration of life for Glenn Sr. at his Badger Farms home, 12831 Hubbard St. SE in Rainier, Washington, on Saturday Aug. 14, 2021 at 3 p.m. All who wish to share in his memory are welcome.
