People can immerse themselves in a symphony of rejuvenation and wellness as Deirdre Quigley orchestrates an enchanting sound healing event at 5 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 27 at 13646 Morris Road SE in Yelm. This special event promises to transport attendees on a transformative journey of healing and self-discovery, harnessing the vibrational power of sound.
Sound healing, as Quigley explains, is more than just a therapeutic experience; it’s a voyage.
“Everything is energy, and energy resonates with vibration,” Quigley said.
Her crystal healing bowls, each attuned to frequencies that Quigley said supports the nervous system along the spinal column, act as conduits for rearranging cells into harmonious patterns, ultimately fostering optimal health. The effectiveness of sound healing is tangible through the calming sensation and even a gentle “body buzzing” that participants may experience.
Quigley’s passion for music began early, sparked by her time in the brass section of Yelm High School’s Wind Ensemble.
“I remember sitting in the brass section of Wind Ensemble at Yelm High School, being moved to tears by the music I was playing,” Quigley said. “Mr. David Lawrenson always chose the most beautiful pieces for us. I’ve always had a connection to the emotional evoking power of music.”
In college, Quigley sustained a voice injury while in the middle of her studies for a vocal performance degree.
“I turned to my next best skill, my ears,” Quigley said. “Audio engineering led me to appreciate just how deep the ‘everything vibrates’ rabbit hole goes.”
After six years in the sports broadcast industry running cables and holding parabolic dishes, Quigley discovered reiki. Reiki is a sacred, ancient Japanese healing technique. She practiced it for years, combining her passion for music with her other passion for facilitating mental and physical health.
Reiki led to the creation of “The Reiki Goddess Healing” in February 2022, where Quigley employs her crystal singing bowls to craft therapeutic soundscapes. Collaborating with her husband, Taylor Quigley, Reiki Master teacher Zachariah Grace and her musical background, they released a reiki-infused sound healing album titled “Awaken,” available on major platforms.
Quigley’s synergy with Gaye Pegouskie, a fellow wellness enthusiast she met eight years ago during her holistic health journey, played a pivotal role in her path. The two kindred spirits, bonded by their shared awakening and healing experiences, have now joined forces to offer a new event. Inspired by Quigley’s “Goddess Workshop: Bloom,” Pegouskie has opened the doors of Bear Farm to host Quigley’s sound healing event, reflecting their mutual passion.
Participants can anticipate a tranquil and inviting ambiance. Attendees are advised to bring blankets or mats for comfortable seating during the guided sound healing meditation. Additionally, Quigley recommends having a journal and pen at hand to capture any insights that may arise during the experience.

“It’s been quite a profound journey,” Quigley said. “At Bloom, before the sound healing, I observed folks not interacting much. After the sound healing, everyone was mingling like best friends. Some women were crying with joy, saying they felt so much better.”
Quigley is currently doing monthly sound healing sessions coinciding with each new moon in collaboration with Reiki Master Jennifer Brooks at Mat Magick.
