Yelm Dollars for Scholars has officially commenced its 29th annual auction, featuring a diverse array of over 190 items available for bidding in an online auction that began on Friday, March 1.

The online auction will continue until Friday, March 8, 2024, allowing participants to support local education while bidding on experiences and memorabilia.

The main event, a live auction and dinner, is scheduled for Saturday, March 9, 2024, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Lake Lawrence Community Club, located at 15735 Topaz Drive SE, Yelm. Former Yelm Mayor JW Foster will serve as the emcee, and the auctioneer for the evening will be the returning Danny Schorno. Attendees can anticipate a dinner, live auction and community camaraderie.

The live auction boasts a lineup of highly anticipated items, including favorites like Steele Barrel BBQ’s “Feed a Crowd,” a certificate from Whitewater Orthodontics, an opportunity to design a play for the Yelm High School football team and $250 for the Yelm High School FFA plant sale. New additions include a ride-along with Thurston County Sheriff Derek Sanders, Seahawks game tickets and a framed 1940s-1950s vintage Yelm Baseball jersey.

Panowicz Jewelers will provide a piece of jewelry for the winner of the Bling Ring raffle.
