Car Stolen at Theater, Found at Park

• A 1994 Honda Civic was reported stolen from the parking lot of Yelm Cinemas at about 8:43 p.m. Monday, Aug. 26. The owner was attending a movie when the theft occurred. There was an estimated $900 worth of golf equipment in the vehicle, among other items. At about 2 a.m. the next day, the vehicle was found without wheels at Longmire Park.

Road Rage Leads to Assault

• A 21-year-old Centralia man is accused of assaulting a fellow motorist following a road rage incident that ended near the 9000 block of Cullens Road Southeast at about 5 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 28. The victim said the incident started near the Red Wind Casino where the road goes from two lanes to one. The driver continued east on State Route 510 toward Yelm when he noticed a white Audi continuing to follow him very closely. The two vehicles maneuvered back and forth before the Audi sped past him on the 510 alternate. The Audi then stopped and blocked the roadway on Cullens Road. The driver, later identified as Isaac Symone Pereira, then approached the victim’s vehicle and punched him in the face. In a subsequent police interview, Pereira denied the assault, though the victim captured images of his face and vehicle licence before and after the assault. Pereira was issued a criminal citation.

Bike Stolen

• A mountain bike valued at about $70 was reported stolen from the Tustin Apartments at about 1:15 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 27. There is no suspect.

Both Parties Jailed After Domestic Violence Report

• An 18-year-old Yelm woman and a 19-year-old Yelm man were both arrested after officers responded to a report of domestic violence at around 5:40 p.m. Monday, Aug. 26, in the 10000 block of Vancil Road Southeast at the Salmon Run Apartments. The two were actively fighting as officers arrived, with one officer reportedly witnessing the woman, Cashlyn Locke, slapping Lonzel McMillan and pushing him away. McMillan and others at the scene said there was no assault. Locke was arrested on suspicion of fourth-degree assault, domestic violence. McMillan was arrested for a felony warrant.
