All but one lane on northbound Interstate 5 at the Nisqually River Bridge will be closed this weekend for overnight repairs, Washington State Department of Transportation officials say.
WSDOT is expected to reduce northbound traffic down to a single lane overnight Friday and Saturday, according to a press release.
Single lane closures will start at 10 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 20, with lanes reopening at 4 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 21. A second round of lane closures is expected at 10 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 21, through 10 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 22.
The lane closures will allow crews to remove and replace worn concrete, according to the press release.
WSDOT officials caution travelers to watch their speed in work zones and give working crews extra space. More information can be found online at www.wsdot.wa.gov/travel/construction-updates/thurston.
