Youth 16 years old and under are welcome to bring their hand-crafted or home-grown items and sell them in the Tenino Farmers Market without paying a vendor fee on Saturday, June 8.

This is a brand new program to add to the market’s Kids Day, according to a market press release.

The rest of the visiting kiddos will have the opportunity to participate in a treasure hunt and enjoy prizes, animals and a seed planting activity.

Vendors of note will be Thurston Joint Animal Services, Timberland Regional Library, Valley View Medical, Tenino Community Garden and Cross Creek Alpaca Rescue.

Alpacas will be on hand for visitors to enjoy.

In addition, $4 youth “Fresh and Healthy Eating” coupons will be on hand for a limited number of guests on a first-come first-served basis.

Activities for children are not limited to Kids Day. There is a “KidzZone” where craft projects, and healthy eating information are available every Saturday.

Regular market hours are 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. every Saturday through September.
