A 42-year-old Tenino man died after being struck by a vehicle while walking along southbound State Route 101 by State Route 108 in Mason County early this morning, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The victim was identified as Bayani I. Mari Sunday afternoon.
According to the state patrol, the man was walking southbound on State Route 101 by State Route 108 on the fogline at about 3:45 a.m. A southbound vehicle driven by a 49-year-old Grapeview resident struck the man.
No charges are expected, according to the state patrol.
Southbound State Route 101 was closed for three hours as the state patrol investigated.
