Pierce County Humane Society Seeks Home for ‘Most Interesting Cat in the World’ and Other Older Felines

Richard arrived at the shelter at the age of 15.

The Humane Society of Tacoma and Pierce County is marketing an elderly feline resident as “the most interesting cat in the world” in hopes of finding him a home.

Richard arrived at the shelter at the age of 15. Now through Sept. 23, the cost to adopt him is $18 in honor of the Purrfect 12 adoption event, which is a focus on finding adult and senior cats in the shelter permanent homes. Rates for all cats 6 months and older are $12 off.

“We’re not sure where Richard spent his time as a kitten or what adventures he might have experienced over his life, but he was found attempting to get into all of the homes of a local Pierce County neighborhood. Is your home the home he’s been searching for,” the Humane Society wrote in a press release.

The Humane Society is open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. seven days a week. View adoptable animals online at www.thehumanesociety.org.
