The We Love Rainier WA community advocacy group is selling Texas ruby red grapefruits with the proceeds going to supporting students and community projects.

The cost is $25 for 20 pounds of the fruit.

Some examples of what the money could fund are dictionaries for third graders, a health van for eye and ear testing, movies in the park and the Rainier reunion in August.

“Buying a box of our grapefruit is a great way to support the efforts of WLRW and get some of the sweetest grapefruit in the world!” the group said in a press release.

Orders must be made by Jan. 24. Fruit will arrive by Feb. 8. Call Brenda at 360-446-0116 to place an order.

We Love Rainier WA will also be selling peaches, pears and nectarines in the summer as well as Fuji apples in September.
