New Yelm Museum Display Examines World War II

A military jacket once owned by Russell Eide, of Yelm, is displayed at the Yelm Prairie Historical Museum in this 2015 file photo.

The Yelm Historical Society will host an open house on Saturday, March 14, to celebrate the reopening of the Yelm Prairie Historical Museum.

The event runs from noon to 4 p.m. at 307 Third St. SE in Yelm.

“We will have refreshments and the museum will be open for visitors to enjoy learning about the history of our community,” Historical Society President Connie Smallwood wrote in an email to the Nisqually Valley News.
