Department of Health

The Washington Veterinary Board of Governors has suspended the license of Pierce County veterinarian Sean Michael Victor Tuley pending further legal action.

According to the Department of Health, charges state that Tuley physically and verbally abused a mustang colt while performing a castration procedure, placing the colt and the owner at risk of harm.

He allegedly punched, whipped and kicked the colt while shouting obscenities, according to a press release from the Department of Health. Tuley is also charged with failing to meet the standard of care and inadequate documentation on other horses.

Tuley cannot practice as a veterinarian in Washington until the charges are resolved. He has 20 days to respond to the charges and to request a hearing.
