In Loving Memory Of Penny Kleine 1962 ~ 2024

On March 21, 2024, Penny Marie (Sherfey) Kleine passed away in Lubbock, Texas, at the age of 61 from pancreatic and ovarian cancer. 

Penny was born on June 25, 1962, in Sacramento, California. She graduated from Yelm High School in 1981 and attended Country Community Chapel with her family. 

Penny married John Kleine in 1992. Penny and John met at a New Year’s Eve party and married the following May. They resided in the Longview area until relocating to Snyder, Texas, in the fall of 2022. 

Penny worked at Bud Clary Ford dealership of Longview and with John at Kleine Accounting. Her true passions were people, animals and crafting. Penny’s warm and sparkling personality drew people to her, and she opened her home and heart to many in need of friendship or a helping hand. 

When young, she often brought home strays. Penny was an avid crocheter and wood crafter, gifting family and friends the products of her talent. Penny was set apart by her irreverent humor, sense of fun and adventure, love of people and fondness for Dr. Pepper. 

Penny is survived by her husband, John Kleine; sister, Dorothy Sherfey, of Tumwater; brother, John F. Sherfey Jr., of Tacoma; sister, Tereasa Gandhi; brother-in-law, Brad Lawson; and niece, Ainsley Lawson, of Tacoma. She is also survived by the family of her heart; parents, Jim and Kathy Sebree, of Yakima; sister, Crystal Noel; brother-in-law, Mike Noel; and nieces, Katie and Sheila Noel, of Yakima. Penny was preceded in death by her father, John F. Sherfey Sr.; mother, Barbara Sherfey; and brother of her heart, Jim Sebree, Jr.
