With the 2023-24 Yelm High School school year approaching, registration for seven different athletic programs have opened.

Sports for the upcoming fall athletic season include football, boys cross country, girls cross country, girls soccer, boys tennis, girls volleyball and coed cheer.

“I’m looking forward to the fall season,” Yelm High School’s Athletic Director Rob Hill said. “There will be some new faces. Coaching our girls cross country is Jolynne Hopkins, who will be replacing the retired Dan Baker. There will be a new head coach for our volleyball program as Molly Pollock took a teaching and coaching job at Stadium.

“Boys tennis, boys cross country and girls soccer will be getting fired up this fall, along with our defending state champion football program. It will be a great fall for our kids,” Hill added.

Parents must go to the “Register My Athlete” link to register their high school athletes for fall sports.

As well, the high school athletic office must receive a copy of a current sports physical, within the past 24 months, in order for students to participate.

At the link, parents can create a new account. Families only need one account, even if they have children in more than one school in the district. Parents do not need to create another account if they’ve used “Register My Athlete” link in the past.
