The Yelm girls wrestling team have notched several first place victories.
During the Rogers Holiday Tournament on Dec. 30, Yelm secured 170 points for first place, which was followed by White River in second with 141.5 points and Bethel with 126 points.
Maddy Erickson won her match in the 120-pound weight class, Samantha Blank took first in the 140-pound class and Cammy Erickson took first in the 145-pound class.
Other placers for Yelm included Emma Norman in third, Alayna Preston in fourth, Kaitlyn Dover in fifth and Alma Bowers in sixth.
Earlier in December, the team took first place with 211 points at a tournament where Curtis placed second with 188.5 points and Aberdeen secured third with 183 points.
Champions at the tournament included Norman, Maddy Erickson, Cammy Erickson, Blank and Dover.
Gabrielle Huish took second place, Preston and Vanessa Alberts took fourth, and Emily Burton Crow took fifth place at the tournament.
