The defending 3A state football champions are turning to the community for support through its annual discount card fundraiser.
After a $25 donation, participants will receive a “Yelm Football Tornado Card” through the “Money Dolly” app. Those with a card will have access to over 30 different discount or coupon cards to local businesses.
Some of the discounts include 50% off a second pizza with equal or lesser value at Pizzeria La Gitana, several offers from Get Fit Yelm, 50% off second pizza of equal or lesser value at Varsity Pizza, a free appetizer with the purchase of an entree at The Local, 50% off a second sandwich purchase at Masonry Cafe, 10% off at Mariachi Alegre, 10% off meat products at El Portal, one free cheeseburger meal with the purchase of first one at Mr. Dougs, one free sandwich with the purchase of a sandwich at Jerk Juicy BBQ, a free 12-ounce drink at Cafe Elite and more.
Funds from the fundraiser go toward purchasing new equipment such as helmets, shoulder pads and jerseys.
