The Yelm volleyball team was swept by Sumner 25-20, 25-25, 25-14 at home Thursday, Oct. 1, sending the Tornados to 0-8 overall and 0-4 in South Puget Sound League play.
Yelm was led by Anna Lee’s 20 digs and four kills, while Lexi Stone added five kills and seven digs. Rylee Hominda dished 12 assists.
It doesn’t get easier for the Tornados next week, as they will visit Olympia (3-6, 1-3 SPSL) Monday, Oct. 5 before traveling to University Place to take on reigning 4A state runner-up Curtis (9-0, 4-0 SPSL) on Wednesday, Oct. 7.
