During a Yelm City Council meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 23, Dean Norton, operations manager of Yelm Public Services, presented information on Resolution No. 662, which declares city-owned property surplus and allows the sale of two city owned vehicles.
The Yelm City Council unanimously approved the resolution after a brief presentation from Norton. According to the public services employee, two city-owned Nissan Rogues will be sold on Yelm’s behalf by Enterprise Fleet Services.
Additionally, Norton said the resolution has been reviewed by Yelm’s city attorney.
“These vehicles have reached their life cycles that we’ve set forth for them and have been identified as vehicles we should sell now to maximize our money that we receive from the sale of those vehicles,” Norton said. “All money from the sale of those vehicles will go towards the new vehicles that we have, to replace them. We just took delivery on. They’re two 2025 Toyota RAV4 hybrids. Like I said, all the profits from the sale of those Nissan Rogues, which Enterprise will be selling for us, will go towards the purchase of those vehicles.”
