We Love Rainier visited Rainier Elementary School and Eagle View Elementary School this past week to donate dictionaries to third-grade students.
The non-profit organization, along with representatives for its sponsor, Twin Star Credit Union, gave each student a dictionary that is theirs to keep and use at school and home.
The dictionary drive, titled “Words for Thirds,” was the first of the organization’s three planned school service projects for the year. The organization knows firsthand the popularity of receiving a dictionary from former students, as some have said that they used them throughout their schooling and beyond, according to a release.
