Saturday, Feb. 21
AC/DC tribute band
Tommy’s Tavern, located 404 1st Street South, will host “Soul Stripper,” an AC/DC tribute band, at 8 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 21. There is no cover charge for admission to the event.

Sunday, Feb. 22
Yelm Lions Club ‘Souper Sunday’
Each Sunday, the Yelm Lions Club invites the public to join them at the Carlson Cabin — located at 301 Yelm Avenue West — for its free “Souper Sunday” community dine-in meal. From 4 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 22, join the organization for a warm, homemade soup and companionship alongside other Yelm residents. The meal is at zero cost.

Friday, Feb. 27
Second annual YHS benefit choir concert
Yelm High School (YHS) performing arts booster club will host the second annual benefit choir concert from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 27, inside the Performing Arts Center (PAC) at YHS. The event is free for the community to attend, however, the organization will be collecting donations for the YHS choir club. Doors will open at 5 p.m., and prior to the concert beginning, a bake sale and silent auction will be held.

Saturday, Feb. 28
Sundance at Old General Store in Roy
The Old General Store Steak House and Saloon will host Sundance Band for live music and dancing from 7 to 11 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 28. Dinner will be served at 5 p.m. inside the restaurant prior to the performance beginning at 7 p.m.

Saturday, March 7
One Net Yelm pancake breakfast fundraiser



One Net Yelm and Mr. Dougs will partner from 7 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 7, at the restaurant’s location — 210 103rd Avenue Southeast — for the third annual pancake breakfast fundraiser. All proceeds from the event will be donated to Yelm Senior Center. Additionally, the pancake breakfast does not have a set cost but rather at the price of a donation of your choice.

Saturday, March 28
5th annual Easter “Helicopter Egg Drop”
The fifth annual Easter Festival and “Helicopter Egg Drop” is set for 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 8, at Stewart’s Arena, located 11109 Vail Rd SE. The egg drop itself is scheduled to begin around 1 p.m. with four different age groups represented: 4 to 6; 7 to 9; 10 to 12; and then a group for the final remaining eggs. There will be a photo opportunity with the Easter Bunny at 12 p.m.

5th annual City of Yelm Easter Egg Hunt
The City of Yelm and The Outpost Church Yelm will host their fifth annual Easter Egg Hunt at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 28, at Yelm City Park — located at 115 Mosman Avenue Southeast. Ages 0 to 3 can participate in an egg hunt at 11 a.m., while ages 4 to 6 can do their activity at 11:15 a.m. The last group of participants, ages 7 to 11, will scavenge for eggs at 11:30 a.m. The event is free for all to attend.

Thursday, April 23
30th annual City of Yelm Arbor Day celebration
The City of Yelm will host its 30th annual Arbor Day Celebration at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 23, at Yelm City Park’s Centennial Stage. The event will include tree planting, an art walk, community engagement, live music and more.
