Thurston County Looks for Artists to Create New ‘I Voted’ Sticker for Upcoming Election

Posted

Officials from the Thurston County Auditor’s Office are holding a Good Citizenship Art Contest to design a new “I Voted” sticker for the upcoming August primary election, according to a county news release.

Any artists living in Thurston County can submit a design via email to elections@co.thurston.wa.us. Participants are asked to ensure the subject line of the email reads “TCGC Art Contest” and that the email includes a name and preferred contact information.

All submissions must be circular or fit in a 4-inch circle and be formatted at 300 dots per inch as either a .jpg or .png file. Designs must be non-partisan and incorporate Thurston County while including the phrase, “I Voted.”

“We’re interested in your civic spirit! Thurston County Elections is non-partisan, no politics” read an excerpt from the release.

Paintings can be used as a medium as well. County officials ask artists utilizing that method to email them high-resolution pictures of the painting, not the painting itself.

Deadline for submissions is March 21 at 4:30 p.m.
