The Thurston County Fair is back this summer with four days of rides, live entertainment, local agriculture and FFA showcases — plus all your favorite fair food (and some new options, too.)
The festivities run Thursday, July 31, to Sunday, Aug. 3, at the Thurston County Fairgrounds in Lacey. Gates open daily at 10 a.m. Carnival rides are available starting at 1 p.m.
Daily admission tickets range from $7 to $9. Season passes are also available for up to $23.
“We’re thrilled about this year’s fair,” said Thomasina Cooper, fairgrounds and event center manager, in a news release. “We’ve packed in something for everyone — exciting new vendors, hands-on demos, baking contests, and great deals every day. Come make some unforgettable memories with your friends and family!”
Daily baking contests will occur throughout the weekend, with cookies on Friday, berry pies on Saturday and cupcakes on Sunday. Attendees can also enjoy a variety of educational demos on quilting and sewing, floral design, wildfire preparedness, manure management, gardening with native plants and more.
