Editor,
John Sununu, Republican governor of New Hampshire, is a guy I could vote for.
In interviews he is likable, energetic and gives straight knowledgeable answers to questions — yes or no — then explains why (instead of a mumbling verbiage smokescreen that changes the subject).
But no matter what the topic, his interviews always end with code words for “I am afraid of Donald Trump.” His code words, as are those of Nikki Haley and everyone else who pretends to be an independent Republican — or voter — are “but we can’t have another four years of Joe Biden’s disastrous policies.”
Biden’s policies “Made America Great Again.” But Republicans fearing Trump must pretend they don’t know that or believe it. With exceptions who’ve shown by their actions that they will not appease Trump (Liz Cheney, for example) there are no Trump-proof Republicans now running for public office.
All of them, either from fear or their own hidden hatred, will cravenly do his bidding if he is elected. Trump need not be president to make that happen. He’s doing it now, from Mar-A-Lago. He’s sabotaging America. To stop his sabotage, vote against all Republican candidates for all public offices (which in most cases means favoring pretty impressive Democratic candidates).
That will stop his lies, flip-flops, Project 2025 and reign of fear and bad news once and for all.
