The Gift of Gobble Aims to Feed 100 Families

The Yelm Food Co-op calls all community businesses to join in the fourth annual Gift of Gobble.

The effort aims to provide for 100 families this Thanksgiving. The organizers are asking for businesses and people to donate $50, which provides for a family of six or more a “bountiful Thanksgiving feast.”

Last year the Gift of Gobble fed 86 families.

The families in need are nominated by businesses, community groups and individuals. Forms are at the co-op located in Gordon’s Garden Center.

On Nov. 25, each family nominated receives all the ingredients needed to prepare a traditional Thanksgiving dinner: a naturally-grown turkey, organic fresh vegetables, cranberry sauce, gravy mix, dinner rolls, pie fixings and more.

Donations need to be placed at the co-op, located at 308 Yelm Ave. East, by Nov. 21.
