The Tenino volleyball team got out to a hot start and rolled to a sweep of Elma in 1A Evergreen League play Thursday, 25-10, 25-21, 25-20.
“It’s nice to be back above .500,” Tenino coach Shauna Carpenter said.
Brookelynn Bratton stuffed the stats with seven kills, 13 digs, six assists, two aces and a block. Katen Burkhardt led the Beavers (5-4, 1-1 1A Evergreen) with six aces and also had six digs and nine assists.
Kiyah Goodwin also did a big of everything, with six kills, two blocks and two digs.
Jaeleen Woodward led the back row with 11 digs, Brianna Asay had nine to go along with two blocks and Macy Griffis had seven, while Natalie Davis had five digs and four aces.
Tenino will hope the momentum can last a week while it takes a break from matches, coming back next Thursday at Hoquiam.
