Sheriff Sanders announces five town halls across Thurston County

Thurston County Sheriff Derek Sanders announced on Facebook that his annual town hall series will return across Thurston County next month with five events.

Sanders will provide an update on the happenings at the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office and allow for community members within Thurston County to ask any questions related to the agency or law enforcement.

“Every year, I hold five town hall events spread geographically across the county to provide an update on the Sheriff’s Office and answer questions,” Sanders wrote. “All of the town halls start at 5:30 p.m. I look forward to seeing you.”

The town halls will be held on the following days at the following locations:
• 5:30 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 1 — The Kodiak Room, 255 Sussex Ave. W, Tenino
• 5:30 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 8 — Yelm Community Center, 301 Second St. SE, Yelm
• 5:30 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 15 — Swede Hall, 18543 Albany St. SW, Rochester
• 5:30 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 22 — The Hub, 4444 Sixth Ave. SE, Lacey
• 5:30 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 29 — Griffin School, 6530 33rd Ave. NW, Olympia
