My name is Jerry Toompas, and I’m running for Yelm City Council Position 2. The election is less than a week away, and I did what I could to show who I am and reach as many people as I could. I put out opinions on current topics the council is working on and always answered tough questions from voters. I participated in every election forum and interview.
I appreciate all the support and kindness given to me; we truly have a great community. Regardless of who wins any of our races, we have great candidates who all want what is best for our community, and I would be proud to be represented by any of them.
I want to encourage everyone in the Nisqually Valley to vote this Tuesday in order to increase our voter turnout this year, which is currently lagging behind other areas in Thurston County. Please consider taking some time this week to research our great candidates and fill out your ballot. Thank you!
