Rainier Beats Northwest Christian in Five

The Rainier volleyball team came oh-so-close to falling to the dreaded reverse-sweep, but pulled a five-set win at the last moment over Northwest Christian in Lacey on Monday, 25-21, 25-15, 20-25, 22-25, 15-13.

Acacia Murphy led the Mountaineers with 10 kills, while Anika Plowman had eighth.

Olivia Earsley posted a team-high 26 digs at the back, and Brooklynn Swenson dished out 22 assists.



Rainier (4-5, 0-1 league) will return to C2BL play on Tuesday at Toledo.
