Four student-athletes from each of Rainier High School’s basketball teams were named to the 2024 Central 2B All-League, announced Monday, Feb. 5.
On the girls’ list, Angelica Askey earned a spot on the first team for the second consecutive season, while Bryn Beckman and Brooklynn Swenson took home second-team honors. Haleigh Hanson was named an honorable mention. Swenson is now a two-time second-teamer, and Beckman returns to the list for the third straight year, including second-team honors in 2022. Hanson earned third-team honors in 2023.
For the second straight season, Josh Meldrum is a second-teamer. He earned third-team honors as a freshman in 2022. Jake Meldrum took home third-team honors while James Meldrum and Johnny Boesch were named honorable mentions. James Meldrum returns to the list after being named a third-teamer in 2023, and Jake Meldrum was named an honorable mention in 2022.
