The deadline to pay 2025 second half property taxes is Friday, Oct. 31. Payment may be made online, in person or mailed by the due date, according to a news release from the Thurston County Treasurer.

Options to pay property taxes include:

• Online: Pay online at www.thurstoncountywa.gov/departments/treasurer. There is no additional charge for an electronic check payment, but there is a 1% transaction fee for a debit card payment and a 2.3% transaction fee for a credit card payment. Thurston County does not receive any of the fees charged, the news release stated.
• Mail: Checks or money orders may be mailed to the Thurston County Treasurer at 3000 Pacific Ave. SE, Olympia, WA 98501. Payments must be postmarked by Oct. 31.
• Drop off: Payments may be dropped in the green drop box located near the flag poles outside the Thurston County Atrium building at the address above.

• In person: Payments may be made in person at the Treasurer’s Office during business hours at the address above. The same credit/debit card fees apply as with online payments.

Treasurer staff are available to answer questions by phone or email during business hours of 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Call 360-786-5550 or email trsr@co.thurston.wa.us.

As required by Washington state law, late fees will be charged for late tax payments.

Property owners may also sign up for paperless billing to receive future property tax statements electronically, saving paper and postage, the release stated. Those who create an online account have the option to set up automatic payments or schedule a tax payment in advance. To learn more or enroll in these services, visit https://tinyurl.com/549exc47.
