One Net Yelm, whose mission as an organization is to provide support to worthy causes in the greater Yelm region, hosted a pancake feed fundraiser to support Yelm Senior Center on Saturday, March 7, at Mr. Dougs that met and exceeded its goals as an organization.
While Line Roy, One Net Yelm President, didn’t specify the exact amount of funds raised on Saturday, March 7, at the restaurant, she did say that the fundraiser was highly successful and a big hit.
Additionally, Roy told the Nisqually Valley News on Monday, March 9, that the total amount of money raised will be announced during a dinner and bingo event at Yelm Senior Center on Monday, March 16.
“At One Net Yelm, we’re super grateful for our community stepping up and coming out in a big way to wrap our seniors up with love and support,” Roy said. “We’re very excited to share with the seniors on Monday, March 16, what the total amount raised was.”
Though One Net Yelm wasn’t able to track the exact amount of community members dropping by Mr. Dougs to participate in the fundraiser, Roy said there were a lot of generous patrons visiting the local restaurant on Saturday.
“We had so many community members stop by,” Roy said. “Our members were there greeting everyone and sharing a little bit about what our organization does. Of course, the Mr. Dougs regulars were there as well and we got to meet with them and have a great time.”
She was also extremely thankful and grateful for Mr. Dougs and those connected with the restaurant for hosting and donating so much of their time and energy last Saturday.
