Supporters celebrated the Mountaineers girls basketball team and wished them well Tuesday morning, as the team headed to the 2B state tournament in Spokane.
The Mountaineers were scheduled to play Toutle Lake on Wednesday, Feb. 28, in the Spokane Arena. With a victory, the Rainier girls will play sixth-seeded Adna for the fourth time this season. They currently sport a 2-1 record this season against the Pirates, including a Feb. 13 victory in the 2B District 4 tournament. Go to yelmonline.com to follow Rainier’s progress at state.
