The Mineral Lake Lions Club is inviting the community to enjoy two evenings of live music this August at the Mineral Lake Lions Den Campground.
Featuring local talent, a lakeside setting and free admission, the events are designed to bring people together while supporting the club’s ongoing community service efforts, according to a news release from the Lions Club.
The series begins on Friday, Aug. 7, with country artist Cody Bartels, who will perform from 7 to 9 p.m. at the campground’s Fishing Hole venue.
Known for his traditional honky-tonk style and energetic performances, Bartels has earned recognition as a two-time Northwest Country Music Association first runner-up for Local Band of the Year.
The music continues on Saturday, Aug. 29, with the inaugural Full Moon Fest, featuring Jeff Mims performing live from a floating pontoon stage on Mineral Lake from 8 to 10 p.m.
Organizers hope the concerts will become a new annual tradition for the Mineral community.
Guests are invited to enjoy the concert from the shoreline, their campsite or even from boats, kayaks and paddleboards on the lake.
Food vendors will also be available. Both concerts are free and open to the public. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, relax by the lake, and enjoy a memorable summer evening with family and friends.
“These events are about more than music,” Starla Mayer, marketing chair for the Mineral Lake Lions Club, said in the release. “They’re about creating opportunities for our community to come together, enjoy the beauty of Mineral Lake, and support the work the Lions Club does throughout East Lewis County.”
Visitors are encouraged to make a weekend of it by staying at the Mineral Lake Lions Den Campground. Campsites are available and can be reserved in advance through Campspot at https://tinyurl.com/2cw9te4n.
The Mineral Lake Lions Den Campground is located at 113 Front St. E., Mineral.
