On Aug. 21, 2022, at 6 p.m., surrounded by the love of her family, it was time for Melinda’s body to rest and soul to be set free. At the age of 58, she was sadly diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer’s. Melinda and her family fought that disease with all they had together every step of the way. Melinda loved all children, which shined through during her 35 years of employment for the Yelm school district. She worked her way up to lead custodian.
She is survived by her loving husband of 47-plus years Richard “Rip” Games; her children Dean Games (Kirsten) and Jennifer (Games) Golden (Richard); grandkids Courtney, Tristin, Alyx and Deegan; and great-grandkids NawLa and DeeOn.
For 11 years, she fought hard and will always be fiercely loved and missed.
