The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) issued a news release this week stating that asphalt repair is set to start on Wednesday on Interstate 5 from mileposts 85 to 93 in South Thurston County.
Work will start at 8 a.m. and go until 4 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday and will then continue at the same times starting on Oct. 3 and extending through Oct. 6. Repairs will occur in the northbound and southbound lanes of travel.
Motorists can expect traffic to be reduced to one lane during work times. Long delays are expected and commuters are advised to plan accordingly.
Real-time traffic updates and information can be found on the WSDOT website at https://wsdot.com/Travel/Real-time/Map/ as well as the WSDOT app and regional Twitter account.
