Yelm football hosts Lake Washington
Yelm High School’s football team (0-2) will host the Lake Washington Kangaroos in the Tornados’ final non-conference matchup of the 2026 season at 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 18, at Yelm High School.

Rainier football travels to Raymond/South Bend
The Rainier High School football team will look to build off the momentum it created in its week two win as the Mountaineers will travel to take on Raymond/South Bend at 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 18.

Sunday, Sept. 20
Yelm Lions Club ‘Souper Sunday: Breakfast Edition’
The Yelm Lions Club will host its monthly “Souper Sunday: Breakfast Edition” from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 20, at The Carlson Cabin, located 301 W Yelm Ave. The event aims to build community camaraderie through a free breakfast. Monday, Sept. 21
YHS volleyball hosts Emerald Ridge
The Yelm Tornados volleyball team will host its first South Puget Sound League (SPSL) matchup of the season at 7 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 21, as the Emerald Ridge Jaguars of the SPSL North Division come to town for a 7 p.m. matchup at Yelm High School.



Thursday, Sept. 24
YHS girls soccer hosts Sumner
Yelm High School’s girls soccer team will host its first South Puget Sound League (SPSL) of the 2026-27 season at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 24, against the SPSL North Division’s Sumner High School at YHS.

Friday, Sept. 25
Yelm football host Olympia
The Yelm Tornados football team will take on the Olympia Bears in each team’s first South Puget Sound League (SPSL) matchup of the year at 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 25, at Yelm High School.

Saturday, Sept. 27
37th annual Nisqually Watershed Festival
The 37th annual Nisqually Watershed Festival is scheduled for 10 a.m. through 4 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 26, at the Billy Frank Jr. Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge, located at 100 Brown Farm Rd NE, in Olympia. Admission into the event is free, and activities include live musical performances, wildlife encounters, interactive exhibits, hands-on crafting activities and much more.
