The Yelm Chamber of Commerce held its business awards and luncheon on Tuesday, June 14 to announce the recipients of six awards during an event held at the Yelm Community Center.
The recipient of the 2021 Wagon Wheel Commitment to Community award was given to Grocery Outlet. The award honors a local organization or business that goes above and beyond in giving back to their community in an impactful way.
The winner of the Pride of the Prairie award was PTL Flooring. The award recognizes a local business or organization that has made significant strides toward the “beautification and improvement of their storefront,” Line Roy, the executive director of the Yelm Chamber of Commerce, said in a previous interview.
The winner of the 2021 Nisqually Award went to Bliss Experience. The award honors a business or organization that has demonstrated a dedication and commitment to the environment by implementing environmentally friendly practices and policies, according to Roy.
The recipient of the 2021 Mount Rainier award was given to Baines Famous Kettlecorn.
The award recognizes a Yelm business that has emerged in the city within the last five years and demonstrates sustainability and success.
The recipient of the 2021 Legacy Award was Tim’s Pharmacy. The award aims to honor a local business or organization that is viewed as a pillar within the Yelm community for serving the area for at least 20 years. The award also recognizes the businesses for its “success, vitality and longevity,” Roy said.
The 2021 recipient of the Fay Fuller Award went to Steele Clayton. The award honors a Yelm resident for their outstanding work and leadership within a local business.
