BeJoyful Holistics to Host Harvest Anniversary Celebration

BeJoyful Holistics will host a Harvest Anniversary Celebration to commemorate one year of business on Oct. 8.

The holistic store has invited local vendors to set up shop from 4 to 8 p.m. outside of the store at 512 W. Yelm Ave.

“We’ve only been open for over a year and the grand opening went very well and there was an outpouring of support from the community,” BeJoyful Holistics Owner Joy Hiebert said. “This year it will be a great celebration working with everyone and bringing in vendors.”

At the festival, there will be free Halloween necklaces, mystery grab bags and skin care samples. There will also be a costume contest, games and music. The store will host tarot card readings from noon to 7 p.m.

Vendors will offer temporary tattoo sleeves, henna tattoos, crochet blankets, scarves, hats, local harvest signs and decor, Halloween inspired sweets, jewelry and plants.

“This vendor specializes in cactuses and will be bringing different types of plants and I really thought that was cool,” Hiebert said. “We’re also having three completely different jewelry vendors and their products are unique from one another.”

There will also be candles, harvest-themed T-shirts, wreaths, stuffed animals and gnomes.

“There is quite a bit and we had to find these vendors,” Hiebert said. “I had to put out a post and advertise, get all the permits and prepare for the event. It was a lot of work and definitely not easy, but I wanted to give back to my community.”

Hiebert said she isn’t charging for the vendor spots. She hopes this will allow more people to take part in the event.

“I’ve always tried to help small businesses. I, too, started with a wax pot and a dream and I love to help people reach their goals,” Hiebert said.

The vendors will be located at the front and to the side of the building where BeJoyful Holistics is located. Since the businesses on either side of the store are closed on Saturday, Hiebert said they are allowed to take over the entire parking lot.

The store will have its fall inventory available for skin care, which includes pumpkin peaks and a dark sunshine mask, which is only available during the fall season.

Hiebert said she is planning on doing the event every October to honor the business’ anniversary month. The month also holds a more personal meaning for Hiebert, since both of her sisters died in October.

“It’s a very special month for me personally and I really wanted to celebrate instead of mourn,” Hiebert said.

BeJoyful Holistics provides holistic services and products, which includes crafts made from scratch and a variety of body oils, cleansers, cremes, mists and more. BeJoyful Holistics is also a metaphysical shop and has a focus on crystals.
