Beavers sweep Three Rivers Christian


The Tenino volleyball team won its season opener Tuesday night at home, briskly sweeping 1B Three Rivers Christian 25-5, 25-6, 25-5. 

The Beavers defense was consistently solid throughout the matchup, only giving up 16 points in total on the night over three sets.

“The entire team had great serve reception,” Tenino head coach Shauna Carpenter said. 

Five Beavers found the hardwood across the net to put up kills. Katen Burkhardt served for 19 points with 12 aces.  Addison Sutherland had four kills, Brooklynn Bratton had three, Brianna Asay had one, and Sophia Hussey added two. 

The Beavers will be headed west to Aberdeen on Thursday night to take on the Bobcats, and look to build a win streak.
