Struggling to get anything going on the road in Vancouver, the Tenino girls basketball fell to Seton Catholic Tuesday night, 77-10.
The Beavers trailed 37-0 after the first quarter after strong ball pressure from the Cougars nearly all night.
“Tenino struggled against an aggressive Seton Catholic team,” Beavers coach Scott Ashmore said. “Seton Catholic jumped out to a 37-0 first quarter lead, using tremendous ball pressure and hitting seven threes in the first quarter. We struggled to get anything going all night long.
“Team is learning that you need to give 100% effort in every game and quarter to compete. Seton Catholic wanted to run the floor and we had a hard time defending their speed.”
Rilee Jones led Tenino with five points.
The Beavers (1-2) take on Black Hills next.
