The Tenino girls basketball team fell to 0-3 on the season with 63-23 loss to 2B Toutle Lake on Tuesday.
“They outrebounded us, they outworked us,” Tenino coach Scott Ashmore said. “We struggled to get into any offense… Just too many turnovers, and our defense isn’t quite where it needs to be yet.”
Brianna Assay led the Beavers with eight points, while Chloe Grayless and Holley Thoren had seven apiece.
Toutle Lake led 15-0 after shutting Tenino out in the first quarter, and held the Beavers to single digits in each of the following three periods.
Tenino is set to host Mossyrock in another non-league contest Friday.
