The 507 Taproom and Filling Station, 608 E. Yelm Ave, will help participants start off 2024 with a bang as the business will host a New Year’s Eve dinner and celebration on Dec. 31.

The Taproom will open its doors for the event at 6 p.m., with a social hour taking place until 7 p.m. Following the conclusion of the social hour, participants will receive soup or salad and the full dinner. People can choose between beef, chicken or fish as the protein option in their main course. After dinner has been served, they will have several dessert options to choose from as well.

“It’s a good time to get away, have fun. It is 21 and up only. It’s an all-adult party here,” Robert Jones, with 507 Taproom, said. “Nobody is confined to a specific time limit or anything, and we’ll offer a complimentary champagne toast for everybody at midnight. It’s just a good time.”

All participants will receive a souvenir at the event, as well as complimentary photos upon entry. The Taproom will also set up a photo booth inside its speakeasy inside the business.

“Last year, everyone stayed through dinner. We had some people leave around 9 p.m. or 10 p.m., but we had a pretty good group at midnight to send us into the New Year,” Jones said. “We had over 100 people attend, which was what we wanted. It was a great event for both the community and us. It was something we hadn’t done before, as far as making this particular establishment private. It was a fun time all around. We had music, and we did a five-course meal in collaboration with The Grill.”

Tickets for the event cost $118 after tax, and can be purchased online at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/new-years-eve-celebration-tickets-

QR codes are also posted inside the 507 Taproom for those interested in registering and attending the event.

“It was such a great event last year, and we’re hoping for similar results this year,” Jones said. “Bill (DeVore, owner) brought me in a couple years ago. Two years ago, when we were only open next door, we peaked everyone’s interest and learned a lot of people don’t want to go outside of Yelm on New Year’s. Obviously, it’s a very busy evening in bigger cities with a lot of different activities going on. What we found is a lot of people prefer to stay in and celebrate with friends and family. We figured it’d be a great opportunity to offer this for people who do want to come out, enjoy a nice meal and celebrate New Year’s while staying local.”

Jones added the event will have a formal dress code for those who attend.

“People still usually enjoy getting dressed up for events like this,” Jones said. “It’s a fun time to break away from the norm, and it gives people something a little bit different to do that night.”

With the business confined to serving beer, wine and cider, the 507 Taproom got creative in coming up with different wine-based cocktails at the event. Jones added a specialty beer will be on tap to go along with what the souvenir will be.

“It’ll be something a little different than what we offer on a typical Taproom evening,” Jones said.
