Following a regular season where Rainier’s football team finished with a 6-3 record (4-2 C2BL), 14 Mountaineers were named to the league’s first team, second team and honorable mention spots that highlight the conference’s top players.
Offensive lineman Kieler Jackson and wide receiver Hunter Howell, both seniors, received Central 2B League’s first team honors. In their last contest of the regular season against Rainier, Oregon, on Halloween, Jackson and Howell combined for four touchdowns, as Jackson threw a touchdown pass on a trick play, and Howell caught, ran and threw a touchdown.
Six Mountaineers were named to the All-C2BL second team, including junior Dorien Cano – who was voted second team All-C2BL as a running back and as a defensive lineman. Sophomore offensive lineman Lukas Sollars was also voted to the second team All-C2BL team, along with the quarterback he protects every week, senior Jake Meldrum.
