School is over for the summer, and so is the opportunity for many students to have access to enough food. So the Rotary Club of Yelm started its “12 Weeks of Summer” program to provide bags of nutritious food for any kid who needs one. Volunteers come together on Sunday afternoons to pack the bags, then they’ll distribute them every Tuesday starting at 10 a.m. at the Lions Cabin across from Yelm Middle School and at the Nisqually Pines Clubhouse. All the food was either purchased by the Rotary Club or donated by local retailers. Thanks to our community for caring!
