Standing Room Only Theater will present “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee,” a musical comedy, this spring.

Auditions for the show will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday, March 10, at The Triad Arts Theater, 102 E. Yelm Ave.

The show’s music and lyrics were done by William Finn, its book was written by Rachel Sheinkin and it was conceived by Rebecca Feldman.

Standing Room Only’s production will be helmed by director Dawn Emilia, music director Claudia Simpson Jones, choreographer Fred Loertscher and producer Jeremy Chenvert.

For the audition, prepare 16-32 measures in the style of the show. Selections from the show are acceptable, but be sure to show off range and ability.

To that end, bring a pre-recorded backing track in the correct key and an appropriate playback device (phone, MP3 player, CD player, etc.).

A speaker and aux cord will be provided, but that will be no accompanist. Acapella auditions will not be accepted. Songs from the “Bee” will be provided for all.

If selected for a further showcase, call backs will be at 6-9 p.m. Tuesday, March 12.
