In response to the commentary by Pastor Jeff Adams in the July 18 edition of the Nisqually Valley News, we would like to state we need more articles in the NVN focused on religion.

We are “one nation under God” and spiritual matters should not be neglected.

People are vocal about their rights to believe and live what they want, and we as Christians have a right to talk about Jesus and the values our country was founded on.

A Biblical perspective will always be welcomed.

Thank you.

The rules to post here clearly state no racism or sexism or any sort of ism. And yet this entire article is one giant Christian-ism!

Shame on you. Shame on you for allowing one type of voice to dominate. Shame on you for tainting your agency with religion. Are you a newspaper or a church newsletter????

No religious views should be represented in your paper. If you know you have even ONE reader that would be excluded by this than you have a moral obligation to curb it. And represent ALL readers. Giving space for one type of voice over others is wrong and I am appalled this COMMUNITY paper is doing so.

This community is made up of a diverse crowd and many are NOT Christian. Either you represent them all or you take a neutral stance. That is the job of a journalist. As soon as you give power to one type of viewpoint your news is tainted. It's influenced. It's not neutral.

Shame on you.
