Cheebo Frazier, Red Wind Casino general manager

As many of you are already aware, there is increasing concern in Washington state over the novel coronavirus, COVID-19. We understand that with all of the information and news coming from many sources, there is worry and concern amongst our guests and team members. We would like to take this moment to share with you the precautions Red Wind Casino is taking to maintain a clean and safe environment.

Since January, a casino task force has continually met to review ongoing developments and has refined the Casino’s action plan accordingly. The executive director team has met with all department managers and their teams to review work processes and changes in the workplace to assist us in the implementation of our response plan. Our measures to date include more frequent cleaning of high-touch surfaces, additional disinfectant wipes and hygiene stations on the gaming floor and back of house, and increased signage for hand and health hygiene awareness.

It is important to remember that it is in everyone’s best interest to enact additional measures to prevent or slow the spread of this new disease. We encourage everyone to review the guidance from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) on prevention and treatment. CDC has a number of recommendations including washing your hands thoroughly and frequently, and using alcohol-based sanitizer when soap and water aren’t available. If you are feeling unwell, we encourage you to focus on your health and recovery at home.

While we know that the ongoing developments of COVID-19 remain unpredictable, we want to assure you that your wellbeing, as well as the wellbeing of our team members, is highly important to Red Wind Casino, the Medicine Creek Enterprise Corporation, and the Nisqually Tribe. We continue to closely monitor announcements from the Tribal Health Department, Washington State Department of Health, and Centers for Disease Control, and are taking every precaution to adapt and respond to new developments.

We will continue to provide information and best practices as a business organization, and we ask that you partner with us to reduce health risks by participating in prevention as well. Thank you for your ongoing contributions to a healthy and enjoyable entertainment destination for all.
