Nisqually River Bridge - Interstate 5

Nisqually River Bridge - Interstate 5

Forecasted rain has postponed work scheduled for Friday night, June 7, to Monday morning, June 10, on northbound Interstate 5 in Nisqually. The cancellation also does away with planned lane closures. All northbound I-5 lanes will remain open during the weekend.

Two around-the-clock weekend lane closures are now planned for the weekends of June 15-16 and June 22-23. The work is weather-dependent, so both weekends could be rescheduled depending on forecasts.

Drivers can get real-time traffic information on their phone with the WSDOT traffic app at https://www.wsdot.wa.gov/Inform/mobile.htm. Advance information about this project and other roadwork on state highways is available at www.wsdot.wa.gov/travel/construction-updates/thurston.
