Staff from Boys and Girls Clubs of Thurston County lead students from a school bus in through the door of the Yelm location Wednesday, Sept. 4. The new Yelm branch opened in conjunction with the first day of school.

Boys and Girls Club volunteers and staff played cornhole with students during the first day Sept. 4. The organization currently serves around 50 students enrolled at Yelm Community Schools.


Yelm Boys and Girls Club Director Andrew Chase gives a short orientation to students on their first day at the new club. Highlights of the new program include a computer space, teen center, library, arts center and small game room.
